
I redesigned the plane-upgrade inventory for Bomber Ace and implemented it in the project. Shipped in a live title with 5M+ installs and a 4.4★ rating.
Before diving into UI work, I migrated key systems to a Service Locator architecture, which gave me the flexibility needed to tune and extend the level setup independently.
What Changed
- Players can now own multiple planes, each with their own guns and upgrades
- Replaced the static grid with a swipeable carousel that keeps category context visible
- Made upgrades paths and costs easier to understand
- Slots for front gun and bomb are now swappable
- Premium Pack fits naturally into the flow without feeling intrusive
